KSC New Town

 

The Government of Maharashtra by the notification dated 15/10/2024 notified 124 villages in the influence area of Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Road Project) as ‘KSC New Town’.

Mumbai Metropolitan Development Authority (MMRDA) is appointed as the New Town Development Authority (NTDA) for the KSC New Town.

Villages of Uran, Panvel & Pen Talukas of Raigad district are included in the  KSC New Town.

The total area of the KSC New Town is 323.44 Sq. Km.

By utilising the anticipated appreciation of lands in the KSC New Town Atal Setu will be economically viable. It will enable well-planned and organised integrated development in the area.Existing vital transportation and communication network will trigger growth of  industries in the New Town.

KSC New Town has scope for Industrial, Transport Hub, Logistic Park and Residential uses. Information Technology Park (IT & ITeS), Data Centers, Fintech Industry, Mixed Land Use, Smart City, Transit Oriented Development, Regional Scale Amenities and affordable housing are anticipated to be developed by the Authority, which will generate employment and boost the economy of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
